I think the British version's design is snazzier, but I will nonetheless buy an American version. :-)

US-Version
Did you have any influence on the formats of the books ... I bought the US-Version (since it was the first one available in Germany) and I think it's ugly - absolutly out out of proportion. But I like the colors and the coverlayout (and the contents *g*). But the book just looks stupid and out of shape (in a not very cool way).
