Bad Monkeys an SF Chronicle holiday pick

Just in time for Black Friday, the San Francisco Chronicle has published its holiday gift-book recommendations, and Bad Monkeys is on the science-fiction list, along with Kage Baker's The Sons of Heaven, Christopher Barzak's One For Sorrow, Emma Bull's Territory, Joe Hill's 20th Century Ghosts, China Mieville's Un Lun Dun, Naomi Novik's Empire of Ivory, Patrick Rothfuss' The Name of the Wind, Dan Simmons' The Terror, and Charlie Stross' Halting State. Nice company to be in.

Thanks to SF reviewer Michael Berry for the plug.

An impressive list of Matt Ruff Wannabes :)
Seriously, congrats. Having read many of those books (and most of those authors) it's an impressive list... Besides Bad Monkeys of course my favorites would have to be UnLunDun by Meiville, and The Terror by Simmons in that order.

I've enjoyed Novik as good popcorn fantasy.
