Quick question for the hive-mind: Does tahini need to be refrigerated once the can is opened?

Tahini should not need to be refrigerated. Did you follow the recipe exactly or did you make changes?

I left out the pepper, since we're not a heat-loving family, but other than that I followed it exactly.

The tahini I have here wants to be kept cool, once opened. I guess it depends on your kitchen if that means you need to keep it in the fridge or if a dark cupboard should be enough.

It is better to keep in the fridge as it keeps longer.
