Monkeys news

As those of you who've visited my website recently already know, Bad Monkeys now has a fixed publication date, July 24th. And the book tour is starting to come together as well: the first event should be at Queen Anne Books on July 29th, followed shortly thereafter by an appearance at Powell's Books in Portland, Oregon (we're still figuring out the date on that one). Check the readings page of my site for the latest scheduling info.

Also, my publisher has gotten requests from a number of bookstores for special drop shipments of signed copies. If you're in the neighborhood on the last week of July and want a signed first of Bad Monkeys, pay these folks a visit:

Murder by the Book in Houston, Texas
The Poisoned Pen in Phoenix, Arizona
Mysterious Galaxy Books in San Diego, California
M is for Mystery in San Mateo, California
Mysteries to Die For in Thousand Oaks, California

Of course, Queen Anne Books will also have a bottomless supply of signed firsts -- and cake!

Thanks! I figured it was time to switch from Frontpage 97 to something more current, and give the website a facelift in the process.

Any chance of an appearance at Mysterious Galaxy?

Judging from past book tours, San Francisco is my most likely destination in California, although San Diego certainly isn't out of the question. But so far the only cities I'm sure of are Seattle and Portland.

Great news! I hope you make it to the East Coast.

I hope so too, but I have a feeling that's only going to happen if the book sells really well.

Most excellent news on the Houston order. Hope they can persuade you to do an appearance there as well, if you swing through Texas.

My in-laws live in Dallas, so even if the official book tour doesn't go there, I may try to arrange something on my own during a visit. Preferably not in mid-summer.

You do know that this is quite unfair, as it leaves me with only three days to finish that last Harry Potter, since I won't be able to wait for being able to start with your book? Damn... ;-)

Also, amazon.de still lists Monkeys' publication date as both April 3rd (yay! tomorrow!) and July 2nd. I don't know what they're trying to tell me, really.

sounds like a very cinematic story, just wondering if there are plans afoot for a film...
